Yes, it's less than a mile from two general stores. Easy walking distance to either one.
No. The Santa Vista Sub Division is located inland, within the beautiful jungle district of Cayo. It is a short distance from San Ignacio, the beating heart of Belize.
We are primarily an off grid community but there are several lots with access to electricity.​ The Sub Division has access to Santa Familia village water.
The Sub Division is aproximately 7 miles from San Ignacio and Santa Elena and a short Drive from Spanish Lookout.
Are there restaurants near the Santa Vista Subdivision?
Yes, there are several quality restaurants within 1 to 7 miles.
Can Lots be purchased by installments?
Unfortunatey, installment plans are not available.
Is it a diverse community?
Is Belize LGBT friendly?
Belize has one of the most diverse populations of any place in the World. It is made up of Mayans, Garifuna, Mexicans, Mennonites and a whole range of Expats from around the world.
Although currently, there is no "scene" or any specific LGBT venues or bars, public attitudes towards gay couples are generally favorable. Despite homosexuality being decriminalized, gay marriage is not yet legally accepted or recognized, even if you were married in another country.
Can you rent a place for 2-3 months like Airbnb and, if so, what is the average cost?

Yes, but all properties rented to those on a Visitors Visa must be BTB approved. Costs will vary depending on location and time of year.
There are no fees within the Santa Vista Subdivision.
Are there ready built homes available and, if so, how much are they?
Are there any dangerous animals or insects in Belize?
Mennonite wood framed houses are available in a range of sizes and a variety of finishes. These homes are delivered, complete to your chosen lot, once the required groundwork is complete. Prices start around $20,000 BZ.
Is it a good place for pets?
The short answer is yes, and in general, all animals and wildlife in Belize are respected and protected. There are many high quality vet services available. However, for most Belezians, dogs are not regarded as pets but as working animals which live outside as guard dogs.
Healthcare is affordable and readily available with a range of private clinics and community hospitals offering short waiting times for many intermediate treatments. However. serious surgery or specialty treatments may require a trip to Mexico. The nearest Hospital to Santa Vista is about 6 miles away.
